Camp Stoves for Backpacking

There is nothing better than cooking over an open fire. Find a stick and put a hotdog on the end of it and roast it over the campfire. Or how about marshmallows. Nothing like roasting marshmallows. How about sitting around the campfire at night telling stories. However, if the forest is somewhat dry it could be dangerous even if you have a grill over the open fire. If the fire danger is High, you may be required to bring a cook stove and not be allowed to have a campfire. Even if the fire danger is not high, you may still be required to use a stove or maybe you might be issued a fire permit but still be required to bring a stove. So... what are your choices. Before you buy a stove learn How to Choose a Backpacking Stove. Also,  learn these tips before buying a camp stove.
